I've come to the conclusion that even though I do love korean pop, I still have to give a nod to other genres. BUT my focus will remain on my key topic. One of the fascinating things that I have really been tripping on is the fact that if I start a conversation with someone about korean music.....well let me take that back. I do think that in the right crowd the discussion of the korean music genre can be very interesting. Just as interesting as Latin, Indian or other types of music. But believe me. Just like in comedy. You have to know your audience. You just can't bring up something like that abruptly. There are the people who are open to new things and then there are those who aren't. You can bring up a new topic to me. But then again I'm not like everyone else. What else is new? I'm getting off target now. The thing that I hear most people blurt out is when I bring up the topic is: How can you listen to that stuff? Do you even understand what they're saying? And some people even say, How can you listen to that S***? For some reason it really doesn't bother me. If you're not interested then you're not interested. I feel a charge of creative juices when I discover something new and exciting. No. I don't understand what they're saying. But do I feel something? Yes. Sometimes I can just hear a melody that is so beautiful, that I actually get shivers in my body. And I just feel something in my soul. I can't describe the feeling I get. I'm a sucker for a good ballad. I have no shame. I can honestly say that I'm put in a creative transfixed trance. And if I hear a great uptempo tune I will sometimes feel such a joy in my heart. It's just like when you watch a movie and the orchestra swells at that one triumphant moment in the film where the director manipulates you into saying in your head and heart "YEH"!!! I will give you 2 examples of that right now. The first song is by the group or artist S#ARP. The song is called "LIPS LIKE WARM LIKE COFFEE". I call this song "citrus soul". This song is sweet and soulful with a tangy flavor! The female lead's voice is that of an angel. She's beutiful and holds your full attention throughout the vid. The male rap in the background adds a beautiful soft dynamic and in no way intrudes on the beautiful melody. This song has found that balance successfully. The song and production is truly impressive. A simple storyline, beautiful visuals of of love and longing make this a complete and expressive vid. And I have to give a shoutout to the beautiful asian male. Do you honestly think that the shirt off and the wind softly blowing his hair was an accident? Think again!
